Guided kayak group paddling along the North Carolina coast

We're Locals Who Love These Waters

Carolina CoastE Kayaking Tours was born from a simple idea — share the beauty of the North Carolina coast with anyone willing to pick up a paddle.

Our Story

From the Water, For the Water

Carolina CoastE Kayaking Tours started the way most good things do — with a love growing up on the coast. Our founders spent countless hours exploring creeks, marshes and estuaries that most people drive right past on their way to the beach.

What began as weekend paddles with friends slowly became something more. People kept asking, "Can I come along?" And our answer has always been the same — absolutely, come join us. There is nothing we love more than sharing these waters with someone who is experiencing them for the first time. The more the merrier, and you are always welcome. Today we guide families, couples, adventurers, and first-timers through some of the most beautiful and unappreciated waterways on the East Coast.

Not a big operation. We keep our groups small, our pace relaxed, and our focus on making sure every person on the water feels comfortable, safe, and genuinely glad they came.

Safety First

You're in Good Hands

We are a veteran owned business. Through our military training, we take safety seriously so you can focus on enjoying your experience on the water.

All Equipment Provided

Kayaks, paddles, and properly fitted life jackets are included with every tour. We have 5 single kayaks and 5 tandem kayaks available. No gear? No problem.

Small Group Sizes

We require a minimum of 5 people per tour. We can take up to 15 people with the use of our 5 tandem kayaks.

Weather Monitoring

We monitor conditions closely and will reschedule or reroute tours if weather makes conditions unsafe. Your safety always comes first.

Beginner-Friendly

No experience needed. Every tour starts with a brief on-shore orientation covering paddling basics, safety procedures, and what to expect.

Emergency Protocols

All guides carry communication devices and first aid kits. We have clear emergency protocols and know these waters inside and out.

What to Bring

Come prepared for a great time on the water: sunblock, a hat or head covering, sunglasses, workout gloves, and water shoes are all highly recommended. Also bring a small cooler with water and snacks.

What to Expect

Your Tour, Step by Step

01

Arrive & Get Oriented

Meet your guide at the launch point 15 minutes before your tour. We'll fit you with a life jacket, go over paddling basics, and answer any questions.

02

Launch & Explore

We'll ease into the water and start exploring. Your guide will point out wildlife, share local history, and set a comfortable pace for the whole group.

03

Rest & Take It In

Most tours include a short rest stop — a quiet cove, a sandbar, or a scenic overlook. A great time for photos and just soaking it all in.

04

Return & Celebrate

We'll paddle back to the launch point, help you out of the kayak, and you'll leave with memories (and maybe a few great photos) of the Carolina coast.
